We celebrate you as the God who comes to us, even as we are busy building our own futures.
We see injustice and war, and we want to forge a future of justice and peace.
We see decline in numbers in churches, and we want to forge a future of growth and success.
We see climate chaos, and want to forge a future of respect for creation.
We see some grow wealthy at the expense of those sinking into poverty, and we want to forge a future of fairness.
We hear the call for a Big Society, but seek a future of true community.
As we look in despair at the suffering in our world and, even now, we long for your coming.
Give us the courage to pray what we say so lightly: Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
